Like the Hannah, the Olaf from Theraposture is a quality, tailor-made care cot perfect for larger and more active users. The Olaf Bed is a robust sleeping solution for more active or larger users. This is the lowest cot for users with increased activity and challenging behaviour, whilst providing manual handling assistance to parents and care givers. Also suitable for children, who can get in and out of bed independently.

Delivery and installation

Theraposture personally deliver and install your Olaf Cot Bed in any room within your home, including rooms that are upstairs. The delivery is planned carefully with the family and the Therapist if applicable, and a date and time is agreed. Two experienced technicians will carefully build your Olaf Cot Bed in your room of choice and can help to move existing furniture if needed. Each delivery includes full training and a safety information handover, with a full product demonstration.

Can the Olaf be padded?

Yes, we have 2 ranges of soft Vinyl fabric in many lovely colours, including rip stop material for children that my bite. Padding can be either 2/3rs or full height and can include clear soft windows to allow visual access both in and out of the bed. Top edge padding is also an option if needed, as are feed tube holes.

What is the entry height for the Olaf?

There are two versions, one at 40cm and the lower being 22cm

Is the Olaf hoist accessible?

Yes, the 40cm entry height has space under the bed for a hoist. The 22cm entry height version requires castors to give hoist access.

Is the Olaf available with doors on both sides?

Yes, this is an option on all Olaf beds except for the tallest 170cm high doors.

Are the doors secure for active users?

Yes, each opening side has a front mounted locking bar as standard. They brace the doors from the outside, preventing them from opening outwards and from being pulled inwards.

Is the Olaf a safe bed?

Yes, it is. All cot beds supplied by Theraposture are independently tested to ensure full compliance with BSEN 50637:2017 and BSEN 60601-2-52. They are also supplied with a unique self-locking hand control – the safest cot bed hand control available.

How long is the warranty?

The Olaf comes with a 3 year fully inclusive warranty.

How soon can I have a Olaf?

For standard specification beds with padding, it will be 4 to 6 weeks. For bespoke beds, it can take up to 8 weeks.
