ES-COT Cots ideal for Equipment Services

These beds have been created as ready-to-go stock beds that are very affordable and therefore a great option for Equipment Services. The ES-COT EMMA and IDA both offer the high quality expected from Theraposture and its German manufacturer Kayserbetten, however, they have been made to a standard specification in bulk, resulting in significant cost savings that have been passed on to Theraposture customers.

These beds are ideal for Equipment Services as they are affordable, made to a very high standard, have excellent longevity and are fully compliant with the relevant standards.  ES-COT EMMA and IDA have been independently tested by a specialist test house in Berlin. All Theraposture beds are supplied with certificate of compliance and conformity. These beds look great and come complete with neutral padding, a pressure relieving mattress and delivery, all within the stated price.

Liam Braddell, Theraposture Managing Director, comments:

“Our ES-Cot Cots offer a higher level of value without compromising quality. Our beds are independently tested for compliance, meeting BSEN50637 and BSEN60601-2-52. They have been designed specifically for Equipment Services offering reusable products that will last a very long time. We understand the budget constraints of local authorities so these new choices offer an alternative that will ensure more families can be supplied with a reassuring, high quality cot from Theraposture.”

Mascot – the world’s only fully modular adjustable care cot

The Mascot cot’s unique, flexible design can be adapted to meet changing user needs which negates the need to purchase a new cot in the future. It is easy to reconfigure and re-issue with varying door heights and designs making it an ideal choice for equipment services and families, especially where future needs are not always known. This cost saving ‘cot for life’ ensures Occupational Therapists and families achieve long lasting, appropriate comfort and safety for growing and developing children with disabilities.

People talking on exhibition stand

Theraposture has recently introduced the ES-COT EMMA and IDA adjustable cot beds for disabled children. These two beds have been created as ready-to-go stock beds that are highly cost effective and therefore a great option for Equipment Services and Occupational Therapy prescription. They both provide the high quality expected from Theraposture and its German manufacturer Kayserbetten, however, they have been designed to facilitate a lower price point so that they are a better alternative to budget cots from other suppliers. The ES-COT EMMA and IDA have been independently tested and are certified for compliance with all relevant medical bed standards. These beds look great and come complete with padding, mattress and delivery within the stated price.

Liam Braddell, Theraposture Managing Director, said:

“From our close work with Occupational Therapists, we understand the financial pressures everyone is facing both in the public and private sectors. Funding for assistive equipment is not easy to secure, and the OT has a responsibility to ensure long term value, quality and compliance and a solution that works. Our ES-COT cots are game changers, as they are proven solutions that represent excellent value and deliver savings, making them the considered choice”.

Alongside the two new ES-COT cots, the Theraposture Trusted Assessors will all be offering live demonstrations of the world’s only full modular adjustable cot bed – the Mascot Mk2. To compliment the cots on display, Theraposture will be handing out free advice guides, information on the latest bed standards and an all day supply of chocolates!

Come and meet the friendly team of experts from Theraposture, they will be on stand F2.

Theraposture, the considered choice for Occupational Therapist’s seeking quality sleeping solutions for adults and children, will be highlighting their latest products that significantly reduce care costs and represent great value for money (stand KK30, NEC, 27–28 November).

For the 2024 show, Theraposture will be presenting a streamlined showcase that focuses on reducing the financial burden on the NHS and Social Care. The stand will include the pioneering, fully modular Orbit 235 rotating bed and the new ‘budget beating’ ES-COT EMMA cot for disabled children.

The Orbit 235 (Occupational Rotational Bed for Independent Transfers)

The Orbit 235 is a revolution and a huge step forward in rotating beds. There is no other rotating bed like it. It has been developed in collaboration with Occupational Therapists and end users, building on Theraposture’s understanding and experience gained as the true market-leading supplier of rotating beds for over 20 years. Everything that has been learnt and everything that has been asked for has resulted in the Orbit 235.

The Orbit 235 can be modularly configured and programmed for each individual user, catering for users between 4’10” and 6’6”, weighing up to 31 stones. This is why it is so easily reissued and recycled and therefore perfect for equipment services. The Trusted Assessors working on the Theraposture stand will be able to explain the full extend of the configurable possibilities.

The Orbit is part of an extensive range of rotating beds from Theraposture that enable safe independent transfers so that users can get in and out of bed on their own terms with less assistance.

In terms of cost savings, the Orbit 235 offers the opportunity to reduce care packages from two to one person assisting, or none in some case – ultimately resulting in potential care cost savings of around £30,000 per year and this saving is ongoing every year. With care packages costing so much and being in short supply, the Orbit represents a sustainable ‘stay at home’ solution that is undeniably cost effective.

The ES-Cot Emma (Equipment Service Cot)

Theraposture have introduced two new Cot Beds which make up the new ES-Cot range. These beds have been created as ready-to-go stock beds that are very affordable and therefore a great option for Equipment Services to consider. The ES-COT EMMA and IDA both offer the high quality expected from Theraposture and Kayserbetten, however, they have been designed to facilitate a lower price point so that they are an alternative to the budget cots from other suppliers. The ES-Cot EMMA and IDA have been independently tested and are certified for compliance with all relevant medical bed standards.
