Visiting the Theraposture exhibition stand — The Theraposture stand at Kidz North will once again be highlighting rapid delivery care cot packages to visiting families and healthcare professionals.

Commonly following a hospital discharge or when a disabled child is at risk, it can take several weeks or even months to receive an appropriate care cot. An adjustable care cot can provide safety and comfort through a range of features such as profiling and height adjustment of the mattress, specialist padding and secure doors. Without a safe sleeping solution, families are placed in an unacceptable position that could lead to further issues and discomfort for a child. To avoid this unsustainable scenario, Theraposture provides a rapid care cot package delivery service which means an appropriate solution can be installed within two weeks of a clinical specification.

Theraposture provides two choices of package which include an electrically adjustable Mascot cot with either 60cm or 98cm high doors so varying user needs can be met. Each cot is supplied with a specialist mattress and full-height soft padding with soft clear windows to allow visual access both in and out.

Neutral padding colours have been chosen for ease of re-issue and each cot fully complies with
BSEN60601-2-52 and BSEN50637. With extensive stock at its headquarters in Westbury, Wiltshire, Theraposture can provide an installation date quickly following a clinical client assessment by either its in-house occupational therapist or Trusted Assessors, or an independent healthcare professional. Theraposture will be providing information and advice regarding its charity partners – Emergency Equipment Loan Service at Kidz to Adultz North.

Theraposture works with Newlife to loan adjustable cots and beds to children who are at serious risk of injury or in urgent need due to shortened life expectancy.

This service is free, unique and following an OT assessment, can usually provide a solution within 72 hours.
